What Could Go Right?

Being right – being wrong. Both live on the edge of excitement. One prompts you to run, to hide, to seek shelter from exposure to elements that would tear you apart. The other motivates you to dance with joy, with hands held high to the Gods that rule our lives. Ones pushes you back into timidity while the other urges you forward to take up a challenge of challenges. Oh, my heart, beat strongly and let courage surge you forward. Go for broke, rather than just break.

On Faith

Have Faith in yourself.

The power of faith

Transcends logic and reason –

It can take you beyond beliefs

And beyond doubts.

Have faith in yourself.

Explore the mysterious

Energy of faith

And allow it to work miracles

In your life.

Find Patience

Take time . . . Do what you can.

Be patiently persistent.

Take your time - The greater the work,

The greater the challenge,

The more time it takes

To accomplish.

Take your time . . . Do what you can,

Until you can do what you want.

Discover Your New Truth

Cast off your beliefs and your opinions, and stand naked

Before the universe.

Like a newborn child,

Experience your world

For the first time.

When you do this

With all your strength

Or in complete surrender,

You will have the opportunity

To find out what is true for you

On Pain

Pain is a warning

We do not always hear.

When your body hurts, stop and pay attention – Find out where's the pain.

What is causing it,

And why it is being created . . .

Then, you may find a way

To heal yourself,

And the pain will disappear,

Until the next time you need it.

Love Your Body

Love your body.

Your body is

Your sacred temple.

It is the vehicle

That can manifest

Your sacred energy

In the physical world

On Lifestyle

Our children will shape

The future of the planet,

The way we raise them

Is a reflection

Of how the

World will look s they mature.

It is important

That we make our children

A top priority to protect

Our future . . . . and theirs.

Positive Attitude is Everything

"WE MUST WILLING TO LET GO OF THE LIFE WE PLANNED, SO TO HAVE THE LIFE WAITING FOR US"

Key Lessons

From the very first morning after learning of my Transverse Myelitis, I realized that I possessed few personal weapons to do battle with TM. However, my own "positive attitude" towards my health situation would take front line.

Wisdom of Joseph Campbell

"WE MUST BE WILLING TO LET GO OF THE LIFE WE PLANNED, SO TO HAVE THE LIFE WAITING FOR US."

Wisdom of Charles Swindoll

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude.

"Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

"The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...

"I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it." Let's talk about this topic . . . send me a note to post for others top see. In the mean time, consider my doggerel below . . .

Saint Dymphna – Patron of Those with Neuroglial Disorders

Background

Dymphna was the daughter of an Irish Pagan King, Damon, and a devote Christian woman. At 14 she consecrated herself to Christ with a vow of Chastity. Shortly after, her mother died, leaving her father distraught and heading towards insanity.

His agony led him to fall in love with his daughter and want to remarry her himself. Knowing of his intentions, Dymphna, her Confessor, and two trusted servants fled from Ireland to Belgium where she established a hospice for the sick and dying at Geel. Unfortunately, Damon tracked her down. When she refused to go back with him, enraged, he beheaded her. She was 15 years old.

The crown of martyrdom was bestowed upon Saint Dymphna in about the year 620. Many people have been miraculously healed at her shrine in Geel, Belgium.

A Prayer for those who Suffer with Neurological Disorders

Glorious St Dymphna, we turn to you in hope that you will remember our intentions before our Higher Power. As Patroness of those afflicted with neurological disorders, hear our prayers that those suffering from - TM, NMO, MS, Lupus, and others- will find relief and consolation. Help us pray that doctors and medical researchers may soon discover new and better approaches to the prevention and treatment of our diseases. St Dymphna pray for us. Glory be to our Higher Power: As Above, So Below. Amen
